ภาพพิมพ์ VUE DU SIAM (VIEW OF SIAM) เป็นภาพในจินตนาการของ ศิลปินชาวเยอรมัน Franz Xaver Habermann (1721-1796) เป็นภาพพิมพ์แบบกัดกรดสีขาวดำ (Etching) ตีพิมพ์ในเยอรมัน ประมาณปี ค.ศ. 1748-1750 ซึ่งตรงกับรัชสมัยสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวบรมโกศ หรือ สมเด็จพระมหาธรรมราชาที่ 2 พระมหากษัตริย์ไทยรัชกาลที่ 31 แห่งอาณาจักรอยุธยา จะเห็นได้ว่าเป็นภาพกระบวนเรือที่สวยงามและมีรายละเอียดอันสื่อถึงสยาม เช่น รูปแบบและรายละเอียดการประดับเรือ แม้ว่าองค์ประกอบด้านภูมิสถาปัตย์ เช่น ตึก โบสถ์ และป้อมปราการบนฝั่งขวาของแม่น้ำจะมีลักษณะแบบยุโรปปนจีน กระบวนเรือพยุหยาตราทางชลมารคเป็นหนึ่งในสิ่งที่ชาวยุโรปชื่นชมสยาม และยังคงเป็นสิ่งที่งดงามน่าทึ่งสำหรับชาวต่างชาติมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน

The print VUE DU SIAM (VIEW OF SIAM) is an imaginative depiction by the German artist Franz Xaver Habermann (1721–1796). It is a black-and-white etching, printed in Germany around 1748–1750, which corresponds to the reign of King Borommakot (Somdet Phra Maha Thammaracha II), the 31st monarch of the Ayutthaya Kingdom of Thailand.

The print portrays a beautiful and detailed royal barge procession, featuring elements that evoke Siam, such as the style and intricate decorations of the barges. However, the landscape architecture on the right bank of the river — with buildings, churches, and fortresses — reflects a mixture of European and Chinese styles. The royal barge procession on the water was one of the spectacles that Europeans admired about Siam, and it remains a breathtaking and fascinating sight for foreigners to this day.

This is an original rare and hard to find print of over 200 years old. The print comes with matching frame, measuring 87 cm wide by 55 cm high, and in good condition.
