"The Land of the White Elephant, Sights and Scenes in South-Eastern Asia" is a travelogue written by Frank Vincent Junior, an American traveler and writer. He embarked on a journey to the countries of Siam (Thailand), Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, and Indonesia for the purposes of trade, information gathering, he also played a role as a coordinator in trade activities between Siam and America during the years 1871-1872.

Frank Vincent is regarded as the first American to venture into the city of Angkor Wat, which was a part of Siam at that time, along with F.W. Partridge and the Honorable S.C. McFarland in the year 1871. Besides exploring Burma, Cambodia, and Indochina, he also documented various experiences during his travels to places like Bangkok, Phetchaburi, Prachinburi, and the city of Sri Satchanalai. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to visit the Grand Palace and meet with His Excellency, the Supreme Minister of Siam, Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Sri Suriyawong (during the reign of King Chulalongkorn or King Rama V). At that time, King Chulalongkorn was the reigning monarch, making this account historically significant and of great interest in terms of providing information about Thailand's history during that period.

A hardcover book, size 22 X 16 c.m., 316 pages, published by Harper &Y Brothers, New York in the year 1874. The content of the volume comprises 25 chapters, covering various travel experiences to different countries. It includes more than 50 beautifully printed copper engravings and maps. The book, now 151 years old in fair and acceptable condition, selling on as is condition.
