บ้านไทยสร้างด้วยไม้สักทองทั้งหลัง ขนาดใหญ่มาก สันป่าตอง

บ้านไทยสร้างด้วยไม้สักทองทั้งหลังอายุมากกว่า 30 ปีแล้ว สร้างตามแบบไทยดั้งเดิม เป็นระบบ Pre Fabricate สามารถที่จะถอดออกเป็นชิ้นๆได้ ไม้ที่นำมาใช้สร้างบ้านเป็นไม้ใหม่ มีทั้งความยาวและหนาเป็นพิเศษ ระบบการสร้างผนังและโครงสร้างเป็นระบบ ฝาปะคน หรือ ฝาเฟี้ยม ซึ่งเป็นการนำไม้เข้าลิ้น และตอกยึดด้วยสลักไม้เช่นระบบบ้านสมัยโบราณ ซึ่งจะคงทนถาวรนับ 100 ปี

บานประตูหน้าต่างแต่ละบานเป็นไม่สักแผ่นเดียวขนาดใหญ่ เช่นบานประตูบางบานสูงประมาณ 2.50 เมตร และบานหน้าต่างบางบานสูงประมาณ 1.80 เมตร ไม้เชิงชาย ปั้นลม หน้าบรรณ คันทวย กรอบประตูหน้าต่าง และบานประตูบางบาน แกะสลักด้วยช่างที่มีฝีมืออย่างงดงาม เสาที่ใช้สร้างบ้านมีประมาณ 80 ต้น เสาบ้านทุกต้นมีขนาดใหญ่ บางเสามีขนาดเส้นรอบวงประมาณ 1.90 เมตร

ปัจจุบันสร้างอยู่ในสวนลำใยที่ร่มรื่น บนเนื้อที่ดินประมาณ 4 ไร่ ริมแม่น้ำปิงส่วนที่กว้างที่สุด อยู่เหนือฝายทดน้ำ ซึ่งจะทำให้เห็นแม่น้ำบริเวณหน้าที่ดินกว้างขวางสวยงามและมีน้ำตลอดปี

บ้านแบ่งออกเป็นสองชั้น ชั้นบนของตัวบ้านประกอบด้วย

-     เรือนขนาด ประมาณ 90 ตารางเมตร จำนวน 3 หลัง แบ่งเป็นห้องนอน พร้อมห้องน้ำในตัวรวม 6 ห้องนอน

-     เรือนโถงกลางพื้นที่ประมาณ 90 ตรม ใช้เป็นห้องโถงรับรอง 1 หลัง

-     เรือนรับแขก สามารถใช้เป็นห้องพระหรือห้องรับแขกขนาดเนื้อที่ประมาณ 35 ตารางเมตร 1 หลัง 

-     เรือนโถงบันใด ขนาดเนื้อที่ประมาณ 35 ตารางเมตร 1 หลัง

-     ศาลาริมน้ำ ขนาด 20 ตารางเมตร จำนวน 1 หลัง

-     ศาลากลางบ้าน เนื้อที่ประมาณ 36 ตารางเมตร จำนวน 1 หลัง

ส่วนชั้นล่างประกอบด้วย

-     ห้องครัวขนาดใหญ่ ส่วนรับประทานอาหาร

-     ห้องเก็บของ ขนาดเล็ก และขนาดใหญ่ รวม 2 ห้อง

-     ห้องรับแขกขนาดใหญ่มาก

-     สวนกลางบ้าน

-     ศาลาริมน้ำ

-     ศาลาจอดรถุในร่ม และ

-     ลานจอดรถนอกอาคารขนาดใหญ่

-     ส่วนคนรับใช้ 

-     โถงบันใดขนาด 27 ตารางเมตร จำนวนหนึ่งหลัง

เรือนและศาลาทุกหลังเชื่อมต่อกันด้วยทางเดินเช่นเดียวกับเรือนหมู่ไทยเดิมอย่างสวยงาม  

ตัวบ้านตั้งเลชที่ 74/2 ตำบลแม่ก๊า อำเภอสันป่าตอง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ที่ดินอยู่บนฝั่งแม่น้ำปิง ใกล้สะพานหลวงพ่อบุญเย็น ตรงข้ามเป็นฝั่งอำเภอป่าซาง จังหวัดลำพูน และชุมชุมขนาดใหญ่ เช่นที่ว่าอำเภอ โรงเรียน โรงพยาบาล อีกทั้งห่างตัวอำเภอสันป่าตอง 12 กม และสนามบินเชียงใหม่ 25 กม

The house a traditional Thai home constructed entirely of golden teakwood, over 30 years old. Built using the pre-fabrication method, it can be dismantled into separate components. The wood used in its construction is specially selected for its exceptional length and thickness. The walls and structural framework are built using local traditional system, where tongue-and-groove joints are secured with wooden dowels, a technique used in ancient Thai homes known for durability lasting over 100 years.

Each door and window are crafted from a single large teakwood plank. For instance, some doors are approximately 2.50 meters tall, while certain windows are about 1.80 meters in height. The roof edges, gables, decorative eaves, and door and window frames are intricately carved by skilled artisans. The house features about 80 large pillars, some with circumferences of up to 1.90 meters.

Currently, the house is located in a lush longan orchard on approximately 4 rai (6,400 square meters) of land, situated by the widest part of the Ping River, just upstream of a water diversion weir. This ensures a beautiful, expansive riverfront view with year-round water flow.

House Layout:

Upper Floor:

• Three Pavilion Houses: Each approximately 90 square meters, comprising six bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms
• Central Hall Pavilion: A 90-square-meter reception hall.
• Guest Pavilion: A 35-square-meter pavilion that can serve as a prayer room or guest room.
• Staircase Pavilion: A 35-square-meter pavilion.
• Riverside Pavilion: A 20-square-meter pavilion overlooking the river.
• Central Courtyard Pavilion: A 36-square-meter pavilion.

Lower Floor:

• Large Kitchen: With a dining area.
• Two Storage Rooms: One small and one large.
• Spacious Guest Lounge: A large area for hosting.
• Central Garden Area: A courtyard garden in the middle of the house.
• Riverside Pavilion: For relaxation by the river.
• Covered Parking Pavilion: A shaded structure for vehicles.
• Outdoor Parking Area: A large space for additional parking.
• Servant Quarters: Accommodations for staff.
• Staircase Hall: A 27-square-meter hall.

All the pavilions and structures are beautifully connected by walkways, following the traditional design of a Thai cluster home. The house is located on the bank of the Ping River, near the Luang Pho Bunyen Bridge. Opposite is the Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province, and large communities such as the district office, schools, and hospitals. It is also 12 km from San Pa Tong District and 25 km from Chiang Mai Airport.
