"Treasured One" is the story of princess Rudivoravan of Siam, the daughter of H.R.H Narathip Praphanphong, a son of King Rama IV. She was a half-sister of Princess Wanlapa Devi, the former fiancé of King Rama VI, and Queen Lakshmi Lawan, the Royal consort of King Rama VI. Princess Rudivorawan wrote this memoir while living in the United States. It is a book about rules, regulations, and the traditions of people in the Royal palace. It's also the story of a princess from Siam who has to face an unfamiliar life in America. Her life was an interesting biographical study of the royal family struggling for their livelihoods and longing for freedom. In the end, she succeeded with her third American husband in the land full of freedom that she had been pursuing all her life.
