The antique map titled 'INDE ANCIENNE A L'ORIENT DU GANGE' from the book "Description de L'Univers" by Alain Manesson Mallet, a French cartographer and artist. The map depicts the location of Lake Chiamay or Cunabetee, which is legendary as the source of the five major rivers of Southeast Asia, including the Dharla River in Bangladesh, the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar, the Mekong River in Indo-China, the Chao Phraya River (in Thailand), and the Brahmaputra River.

Alain Manesson Mallet (1630–1706) was a French writer, cartographer, and engineer. He began his career as a soldier in the army of Louis XIV and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served in the artillery and as an inspector of fortifications. In addition to his military service, he also served the King of Portugal before returning to France, where he was appointed to work at the court of Louis XIV. His notable works include a variety of publications, but his most renowned work is the set "Description de L'Univers" (1683) and "Les Travaux de Mars ou l'Art de la Guerre" (1684).

The map itself, which is 340 years old, resulted from explorations by figures such as Marco Polo, Giacomo Gastaldi, and Miguel Lopez. The map was printed in Paris in the year 1683 and comes with frame size 24x34 c.m.
